Reoccuring Strep Throat


Strep throat - Strep throat (or "Streptococcal pharyngitis", or "Streptococcal sore throat") is a form of Group A streptococcal infection that affects the pharynx.

Hexetidine - Hexetidine is the medicinal ingredient in Sterisol, which is labelled for "the symptomatic treatment of "strep" throat, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, gingivitis, ulcerative stomatitis, oral thrush and Vincent's angina; postoperative hygiene following tonsillectomy, throat or oral surgery."

Rheumatic fever - Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory disease which may develop after a Group A streptococcal infection (such as strep throat or scarlet fever) and can involve the heart, joints, skin, and brain.

Throat lozenge - A throat lozenge (sometimes called a cough drop) is a small, medicated candy intended to be dissolved slowly in the mouth to lubricate and soothe irritated tissues of the throat (usually due to a sore throat). Many contain menthol, and some contain benzocaine, an anesthetic.
